As the largest sugar factory of Turkey for 56 years, Kayseri Sugar Factory has graced the Turkish people’s dreams and has carr ... ied dozens of generations to today thanks to the numerous investments. It has become an agricultural company, whose investments are chased by the people from Turkey and even from the world at the end of the passing half-century period. Establishment of the factory, which was full of great hopes, was permitted with the name of Kayseri Sugar Factory Inc., by the decision of the Council of Minister dated 26.11.1954. The foundation of the factory was laid with a majestic ceremony in 7 April 1954; the machine installation started in 24 January 1955 and then the trial campaign began in 2 October 1955. This giant plant was put into operation by the decedent Prime Minister Adnan Menderes in 6 November 1955. Established in 1955 with a capital of 12 million Turkish Liras and processed the beets grown by the farmers in the area, Kayseri Sugar Factory has seized the property of sugar factory with the highest capacity in Turkey by increasing its beet processing capacity to 12.000 tons/day from 1.800 tons/day , which was its installation capacity. Raised its annual indorsement to 800 million Turkish Liras as of today, Kayseri Sugar Factory has made beet cultivation in 295 villages connected to Kayseri, Sivas, Yozgat and Nevşehir provinces with contract and in this way it plays a very important role on behalf of the region’s economy. Finding itself a place always in the higher rankings of “Turkey’s Top 500 Industrial Enterprises”, Kayseri Sugar Factory has written it’s name adjacent with the word TRUST and has revealed its success again and again. Kayseri Sugar Factory Co. processed 2 millions tons of sugar beet and produced 330.000 tons crystal sugar and 88.000 tons molasses for 2013-2014 campaign, thus it proved being the biggest sugar factory of Turkey once again.
